Manado, Bitung – Davao routes revisited during BIMP-EAGA collab talks, BOC Davao discusses customs c

The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City conducted a Focus Group discussion “The Reviving of Air and Sea Connectivity of BIMP-EAGA Routes” where they revisited talks about the Manado – Davao and Bitung – Davao routes on June 20, 2022, at a hotel in Davao City.

The said activity involves the collaboration of various private and public institutions including Bureau of Customs’ (BOC) role as the primary border protecting agency for the said project.

Led by BOC Port of Davao District Collector, Atty. Erastus Sandino B. Austria, several customs policies specifically on the importation process, types of importations and exportations and a brief discussion of R.A. 10863 or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) were discussed.

BOC Davao supports the plans and programs of the BIMP-EAGA to further accelerate the socio-economic development of its member countries through easier trade facilitation of goods and services.
