The Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Port of Davao met with the Coastal Community Auxiliary Division (CCAD) 802nd Squadron on Oct. 11 to strengthen border protection efforts in their shared areas of responsibility.

BOC Davao District Collector Erastus Sandino Austria discussed matters on law enforcement, particularly Republic Act No. 10863 or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act and other customs rules and regulations.
The CCAD presented its accomplishments, border security activities, and responsibilities focused on maritime safety, search and rescue, community relations, and environmental protection.

Following the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the BOC Davao, under the leadership of Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz, continues to collaborate with partner law enforcement agencies to stop the entry of illegal goods in Mindanao and prevent revenue leakages.
