Collection District XII exceeds November 2020 target

December 1, 2020

The Bureau of Customs – Port of Davao has exceeded its November 2020 target with a total revenue collection of Php 2,624,661,264.86.

Data collection of the Port of Davao, including its sub-ports in Dadiangas, Parang and Mati was able to surpass its November 2020 target of Php 2,480,796,262.00 with a surplus of Php 143,865,002.86 or a 5.80 % positive deviation.

According to District Collector Atty. Erastus Sandino B. Austria the revenue collection performance for November is largely due to the port’s dedication and commitment to work amid the COVID-19 Pandemic.

“Since the onset of this crisis, we have invested more on the health and safety of our personnel who continuously provide quality government service.” Atty. Austria said.

The port has been continuously implementing policy reforms to improve its operation such as proper valuation of goods, proper assessment and collection of duties and taxes, and efficient revenue collection from public auctions of abandoned shipments. All these are anchored on Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez and Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero’s priority agenda to enhance revenue collection efficiency even amid the pandemic.
