BOC – Port of Davao collaborates with DTI for enhanced trade facilitation

The Bureau of Customs (BOC), Port of Davao, conducted a coordination meeting with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Region XI, on September 30, 2022 held at BOC Davao's conference room. The said meeting aims to establish an effective coordination and cooperation mechanism towards enhanced trade facilitation.



BOC Davao, District Collector Atty. Erastus Sandino B. Austria, CESO V discussed the Port's accomplishments and initiatives, such as conducting Time Release Studies (TRS) to determine and address bottlenecks that hamper the release of goods. Also, they discussed BOC’s classification of imported goods (free importation, regulation, restricted and prohibited)



Among others, the Port also shared its ISO Certification and Performance Governance System (PGS) enrollment which standardized the operational and administrative processes in the Bureau.



BOC Davao through the supervision of District Collector Atty. Austria under the leadership of Commissioner Yogi Filemon L. Ruiz will continue to collaborate with other agencies that focus on trade facilitation which can help boost the economic development in the Davao Region and ultimately improve revenue collection performance.
