BOC Davao strengthens ties with PDEA-ROXI

The Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Port of Davao conducted a coordination meeting with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Regional Office XI (PDEA-ROXI) on March 2, 2022. The said meeting aims to strengthen border protection, preventing the proliferation of drugs in their shared areas of responsibility.

BOC Davao District Collector, Atty. Erastus Sandino B. Austria shared the Port’s core mandates, areas of responsibilities under Collection District XII, as well as other existing customs rules and regulations.

The meeting also highlighted information gathering of the possible smuggling of cigarettes, fuel, drugs and other antisocial commodities through the possible deployment of floating assets as an additional border protection initiative of the partnered offices.

The PDEA XI led by Regional Director Aileen T, Lovitos presented their current accomplishments, programs, and security measures currently rolled out.

BOC Davao will continue to closely collaborate with its partner law enforcement agencies to protect the borders of Mindanao from contraband.
