The Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Port of Davao conducted a coordination meeting with the Philippine Coast Guard-Task Force Aduana (PCG-TFA) on August 2, 2022. The said meeting aims to strengthen border protection in their shared areas of responsibility.

BOC Davao District Collector, Atty. Erastus Sandino B. Austria discussed matters on law enforcement, especially the R.A. 10863 or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act, as well as other existing customs rules and regulations.

The meeting also highlighted information gathering on the possible smuggling of cigarettes, fuel, drugs, and other antisocial commodities and on border protection through the possible deployment of more floating assets as an additional initiative of the partner offices.

The PCG-TFA presented their current accomplishments, and their border security activities that aim to prevent smuggling, customs fraud, and other related illegal practices that undermine the country's welfare.

BOC Davao will continue to collaborate closely with its partner law enforcement agencies to protect the borders of Mindanao from contrabands.
