BOC Davao passes the Stage 1 of the ISO External Audit by TÜV-SÜD

The Bureau of Customs – Port of Davao underwent the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) External Audit Stage 1 conducted by the TÜV-SÜD – a leading provider of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification on October 22, 2021.

During the audit, the Port’s implementation of the QMS in its services was evaluated to assure conformity of the ISO 9001:2015 Standards. After careful evaluation, the external auditor recommended that the Office is ready to move forward with the Stage 2 Certification Audit having only 2 Minor Areas of Concern (AOC) and 0 Critical AOC, setting the standard as the only Port that achieved the said commendable results during the Stage 1 External Audit.

In compliance with the 10-point priority agenda of Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, the Port of Davao led by District Collector, Atty. Erastus Sandino B. Austria will continue to implement reforms that will improve its processes aligned with the ISO 9001:2015 standards, all of which are aimed to provide the highest level of service for its stakeholders. ###
