The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Davao participated in a simulation exercise for the arrival of COVID-19 vaccines in Davao Region on February 15, 2021.
The activity was led by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), the Department of Health (DOH) Regional Office XI, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Philippine National Police (PNP) and, other government and private agencies.
The processing of the imported vaccines will begin from the arrival of goods at Davao International Airport (DIA) where it must undergo pre-customs clearance at BOC Davao’s One-Stop-Shop at DIA. Ramp release, transportation, unloading, and receiving vaccines in the cold chain storage facility of the Department of Health (DOH) in Region XI shall thereafter follow without any delay.

This activity is in compliance with the directive of President Duterte to streamline procedures while ruling-out errors that may cause delays during clearance of the vaccines.
The Port of Davao has also strengthened its border surveillance across all ports of entry in Davao Region to ensure that there will be no entrance of fake/unregistered vaccines or other illegally imported goods in the said Region and adjacent Regions under the command of Collection District XII based in Davao City.
