After finishing the first two quarters and a month for the year 2022, the Bureau of Customs (BOC), Port of Davao, continuously exceeded its monthly revenue targets for seven consecutive months.

Based on revenue collection reports, the Port of Davao, including its sub-ports in Dadiangas, Parang, and Mati, was able to collect 25.71 billion pesos which also exceeded its cumulative target of 22.93 billion pesos by 2.78 billion pesos for the said period. This is also higher by 0.11 percent compared to the 2021 revenue collection performance (same period) of 22.20 billion pesos.

The July 2022 revenue collection was also the highest collection performance with 4.54 billion pesos, or 35.55 % higher against its assigned target of 3.35 billion pesos, posting a surplus of 1.19 billion pesos. This is also higher by 0.22% compared to the 2021 July collection performance of 3.55 billion pesos.

The said achievement is attributed to the improved valuation and assessment of the Bureau, its digitalized and modernized systems, the highly improving economy resulting to higher volume of importations, and the intensified collection efforts of the said Port which prevent revenue leakages and the collection of all lawful revenues.

District Collector, Atty. Erastus Sandino B. Austria commends the performance of the Collection District XII for their untiring service. He likewise commends the Port stakeholders for their trust and support of the reforms and programs of said Collection District.

Congratulations to the hardworking men and women of Collection District XII!
