BOC Davao continues Revenue Collection feat, exceeds August target by Php 249 M

The Bureau of Customs – Port of Davao exceeded its August 2021 Revenue Collection Target of Php 2,973,000,000.00. The Port consistently met and exceeded its monthly revenue collection target since January this year.

Data collection revealed that Port of Davao and its sub-ports in Dadiangas, Parang and Mati collected a total revenue of Php 3,222,312,167.91 with a surplus of Php 249,312,167.91 or a 8.39 % positive deviation.

Port of Davao’s District Collector Atty. Erastus Sandino Austria said that the commendable revenue collection performance was made possible through the collective efforts of the BOC employees and its stakeholders that continuously transact despite the pandemic.

This exemplary performance of Collection District XII is a result of the strict implementation of proper valuation of imported goods, collection of lawful duties and taxes and revenue collection from public auctions of abandoned and forfeited shipments.

The said office will continue to eye these implementations for the remaining months of the year 2021 as it bids to hit its annual target.
